On Sunday, me and Andrew drove a few minutes east to Irvington to check out the farmers market with our friends Tim, Sarah, Drew, and Kara. It was hot and humid as most Indiana summers are, but we had a great time shopping around and snapping photos, buying cheeses and admiring the pottery. My personal favorite stand was this little one called Home Ec. that sold jams and pickles. The owner has even made badges for those who consider themselves part of the pickle and jam society, which made me all smiley and now I just want to pickle everything. I hear green beans are the sh** when pickled, maybe a new weekend project?
The Irvington Farmers Market happens on the second Sunday of each month from June-October. I'm definitely planning to visit again, and I hope you do too! If you want a buddy, hit me up, I'd be happy to come along. Have a wonderful week, hopefully filled with yummy foods like pickles and honey and jam.
