We made it to vacation! Last Wednesday morning I wrapped up my last night shift, powered through the day with no naps, and we hopped onto a plane to the other side of the states to meet up with the rest of Andrew’s family for a weekend in Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is so colorful and exactly the beach city I needed to kick off some much needed r&r. We ate corn dogs (a very underrated fair food, if you ask me), won some prizes at the arcades (I now have three !!! new additions to my stuffed animal collection at home), stuck our toes in the sand, and flew a kite (my first time ever 😮). I went to bed early nearly every day and did not set any alarms, woke up and drank coffee just to drink coffee. It was a glorious time for myself and for us and for all the Srisuwananukorns, and my heart feels very blessed that I am part of such a warm, welcoming, loving family.
It has been really quiet on the blog and in truth, 2019 has had a rocky start, but it was really refreshing to pick up the camera, snap memories for later, and write to you guys about the good times (even if it is just a little blurb). Happy MDW!
