Last Sunday, Andrew and I took a walk down Mass Ave before driving back up to Muncie, and these are just a few scenes from the little excursion. It's exciting to see the stores light up for the holidays, and it was fun getting out the camera and dabbling with photography. The sky had some amazing colors for us as we strolled down the street, eating frozen yogurt in December with our winter coats on. Goes to show how much I love the stuff, especially with a few rainbow sprinkles.
It's probably no surprise to most of you that I'm a sentimental lady. I often find myself looking back with a head full of nostalgia, chatting away about the memories from years past. I love thinking about last year's Christmas - baking Christmas cookies with the siblings, helping mom stuff dumplings, and playing roulette with dad in the family room. It was a quiet Christmas but a fulfilling one.
I'll be in California this time, first San Francisco and then LA, so the scenery will be different. There likely won't be any snow, the temperatures will be a few degrees warmer. But the family, the laughs, and the smiles will still be there. The food will still be delicious (if not more so, since grandma will be in the kitchen). And I'll have new memories and stories to tell you guys for the upcoming year, likely with a couple of repeats every now and then since, like I said, nostalgia runs strong in this little head of mine.
Happy holidays, and go out and make some good memories!
