Just quickly checking in to say hi and I hope you had the merriest Christmas slash holiday season! I had a glorious reunion with my family complete with Korean barbecue, an endless amount of kimchi, and Korean pears and fresh tangerines for dessert. It's been a nonstop feast starting with the continental breakfasts with my siblings to fish tacos and ice cream for lunch and even more Korean food for dinner. With a heavy dose of family twenty four seven. The right kind of medicine for those end of the holiday blues.
Can you believe that it is the end of 2015? Andrew and I fly back to Chicago tomorrow, where I hear there has been some crappy rainy weather. Oh well I am still excited because waiting for me back in the good old Midwest is a date with my girlfriends Arpita and Aava in the city and a Bulls vs Pacers game with Andrew. And potentially a trip to Portillo's for a hot dog.
I hope you enjoy these snaps of my SoCal vacation thus far - it's a mix of the trip to Ventura harbor, the sashimi lunch at the grandparents' home, and the stunning orange orchards in my uncle's yard. There are so many memories embedded in every single one of these places. This trip is extra special too since I get to share all this with Andrew. I'm a pretty happy lady right now chilling with my people and snacking on some leftover holiday treats.
Time to go watch more Batman! Stay tuned for more CA photos tomorrow. Eat an extra leftover cookie tonight and good night!
