10:00 am: drive up to Healdsburg to wine and dine (hehe). And that's literally all we did that day. As wine tasting novices, Andrew and I had a good time listening to the wine consultants and shared plenty of laughs with our family members. I learned that I like white wine over reds, but I don't mind pinot noir and I'm not into spicy wines. He learned that zinfandel was red, not white. Warm sunshine, a slight breeze, green hills filled with vines and baby grapes. Family, a ridiculously cute baby, and good laughs. It was the sweetest day trip ever. And a perfect way to end vacation.
Already missing this vacation as I sit and type up this final post in the airport. So thankful for many things, from the gorgeous weather we got all week to the amazing hospitality of our families (shout out to Young, Charles, Sierra, and baby Olivia!). Monday marks a big change as we transition from second year to third year. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Don't worry, Nommable will stick around :)
(Wineries visited and pictured above: Blanchard family wines, Pappapietro, and Ridge Winery; restaurant for lunch was Barndiva, which was delicious and had beautiful outdoor patio seating)
