Merry Christmas! Between all the traveling and waiting to board planes, I managed to edit some photos from my trip to Belmont (a small town just outside of San Francisco) with Andrew and his family. It was four days of celebrations between Christmas Eve and the little one's birthday, and it was a beautiful way to start the holidays. We ran in the San Francisco rain, watched Jacques Pepin cooking videos, and baked cheesy gougeres for kicks. We had a birthday smorgasboard complete with fancy bakery cake, dim sum on a monday, pandan waffles, and a Christmas Eve feast. I brought a persimmon custard-y cake to the party, it tasted like pumpkin pie and felt like Christmas. There was plenty of Christmas music and awkward dancing in the kitchen. I am so full of food, laughs, and ridiculously cute baby. It was awesome.
I'm in the LA area now! My siblings and Andrew are currently post-breakfasting which means listening to more Christmas music and napping. Tonight is our family's big Christmas dinner! I will report back in a few days with an even fuller belly and hopefully some sun tanned cheeks?
Merry merry merry Christmas everyone!
